Meet the owner

I'm Doug Muraki. I started Sunfish Pool Service in the fall of 2025 and I run it full time.

I spent twenty years in service work before this and wanted to build something of my own. A pool company was the right fit: work I understand, customers I can actually meet, and a crew I get to train myself.

You won't see me cleaning your pool. That's on purpose. Our techs run the routes, and my job is to make sure they have the training, the equipment and the schedule to show up the same day every week and keep the water right. When something goes wrong, I'm the one you'll hear from.

What I ask of the crew is simple: be on time, tell the customer the truth about what their equipment needs, and leave the backyard better than you found it. What I ask of myself is to build a company where that happens every week without anyone having to chase it.
