Three steps. We look before we blast, and you see the result in photos.

Tile check first

We look at the tile and grout before anything is blasted. If tile is loose, cracked or too soft to clean safely, we tell you instead of blasting it.

Glass bead blasting

A low pressure stream of fine glass bead lifts calcium and mineral scale off the tile without acid and without scrubbing the glaze.

Before and after photos

Every job comes with photos of the tile before and after, so you can see exactly what came off.

Will blasting hurt my tile?
Glass bead is soft compared to sand, and we run it at low pressure and step it up only as needed. We check the tile before we start and we watch the grout the whole time. Tile that looks like it can't take it doesn't get blasted.
Why not just acid wash it?
Acid eats the glaze along with the calcium and dulls the tile over time. Bead blasting lifts the scale off the surface instead of dissolving it, so the tile keeps its finish.
How long does it take?
Most residential waterlines take a few hours. Bigger pools, spas and water features add time, and we'll tell you what to expect in the quote.
Will the calcium come back?
Scale builds back over years depending on how hard your water is and how the chemistry is kept. Keeping calcium and pH in range slows it down a lot.
Do I need to be a Sunfish customer?
No. Tile cleaning is a one time job and it's open to anyone in the Sacramento area.
